Sliding carriages are a special device used to facilitate the movement of two bodies in contact with each other. They are constructed from a pressed sheet metal body, onto which bearings are then mounted to form the wheels. These bearings are made of carbonitrided and galvanized iron or acetal resin, respectively, for sheet metal or aluminum guides, which are commonly sold.

Carbonitriding and galvanizing processes allow for the production of thinner parts with greater resistance to wear, meshing, and corrosion; they are therefore suitable for all parts and surfaces subject to contact with other moving parts.
Acetal resin , also known as polyoxymethylene, is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material with exceptional characteristics, such as: high workability and mechanical strength, minimal moisture absorption, excellent resistance to wear and tear, and remarkable versatility and elasticity.

The axial movement system provides great smoothness, making it ideal for high-temperature applications. This type of device is primarily used for:

• Truck tarpaulins
• Sliding uprights in truck beds
• Various sliding doors.
